Camila is a dentist from Quito, Ecuador. She always knew she wanted to work in healthcare, but it wasn't until she chipped her tooth as a child and had it fixed by an amazing dentist that she realized her passion. After earning her degree, Camila returned to her community to serve patients in need. She's known for her kind, empathetic bedside manner and her ability to make even the most nervous patients feel comfortable in the chair. When she's not working, Camila loves to dance salsa and spend time with her dog, a lively Dalmatian named Coco.

What's the most rewarding part of your job?

For me, the best feeling is when a patient leaves the office feeling better than when they arrived. Whether I alleviate their pain, improve their smile, or just make them feel a little more comfortable, it's incredibly gratifying to know that I've helped them in some way.

Can you share a memorable experience you've had as a dentist?

One of my favorite moments was when I worked with a young patient who was incredibly anxious about dental procedures. After a few visits, I was able to help her feel more comfortable and relaxed in the chair. She wrote me a sweet note thanking me for helping her conquer her fear, and it just really touched my heart.
